What is Faceapp ?

FaceApp is a mobile image editing application for  iOS and Android. It is developed by the Russian company “Wireless Lab”. FaceApp was launched on iOS in January 2017 and on Android in February 2017. In 2019 it becomes a viral app. With its artificial intelligence it can make one’s face smile. And it can create the old age image and the young image of someone.

There is many interesting features in it.

GENDER CHANGE : It transforms a male to female or a female to male. It is the most attractive part of the app.

AGE EDIT : It can show you your different ages photo.

IMPRESSION : One can make his image like a Hollywood2, Hollywood, Wave, Wave2 look.

SMILE : One can transform his face to classic smile, wide smile, tight smile or a upset look.

BEARD : This app transform a simple face into a beard face such as Hipstar, Full beard, Goatee, Moustache, Shaved beard, Grant Goatee and many type.

HAIR COLOUR : With its AI it can transform your hair into Black, Blond, Brown, Red or Tinted colour.

BACKGROUND : One can change his background and also can use the blur effect of background.

OTHERS : Glass effect, Make up, Tattoo, Vignette and a lot. There is many attractive features. You can try it.

Is it safe ?

It is an amazing app. But it is now criticized for over privacy of user data by the social media and press.  The people are saying that it stores user’s many personal data into company and it will create a problem in future. The company’s founder, Yaroslav Goncharov, stated that it stores the only photo that user wants to edit and after 48 hours the photo is deleted. It use Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services as the low standard phone of the users are unable to this kind of standard editing.

You should not worry about it. It is a good app. The facebook, Twitter, Instagram and others work in this way that the app is working. So you can use it freely.
